Pointing material, similar to cement, is commonly used in construction to seal and finish ridge capping tiles—the tiles located at the peak where two sides of a roof meet. It is applied to the gaps between these tiles to create a durable, waterproof seal, preventing water from entering the roof. After application, the material is smoothed and shaped to blend seamlessly with the surrounding tiles, providing a polished, professional finish.
